A good read

This book has improved on its predecessor, The Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack - Prima Essential Guide, in several ways. Firstly, the text within the 176 pages use a bigger font, which makes it much more readable. The Sims 3 primer is now reduced to 5 pages of quite good tips, and although there is some recapping of old material later on, it is put in a different way that makes it seem fresher. Also, this book has been better proofread than previous manuals, although some minor errors still remain.

This book is broadly divided into details surrounding celebrities and the clubs in which they inhabit, the new town of Bridgeport (which is designed more for the celebrity life), the new careers, vampires, and additions to the buy and build objects.

A lot of the detail given in this book would only be identifiable within the game after a lot of playing or trial and error, and therefore for this reason this book is worth buying to enable you to better play this expansion pack.

Overall, therefore, a good purchase, a good read, and a more essential purchase than the Ambitions guide.

Another Great Guide

If you play the Sims you'll know that there are hidden little quirks in the game that often you don't find out about even if you play for a good long while. Once again Prima delivers a compact, concise and supremely useful guide to this expansion pack.

There's all kinds of useful information about the new careers, object, town, buildings, nightclubs, vampirism, and skills.

If you want the sims gaming without having to play and re-play to find everything, definitely get this guide. It doesn't take anything away from gameplay, it enhances it by far.

This handy booklet helps to get more out of the game. You could gather the information yourself from elsewhere, but I found it convenient to have it ready for easy reference, in one place.
