It's more than 20 years since Will Wright created SimCity and his development company Maxis. A lot has changed in that time, including the rise of The Sims as the studio's biggest game, but after being bought by EA elements of the team still work on the series and new titles such as Spore.

Really good but still room for improvement
By Missk
I brought this game on the day of release. The game itself is really quite enjoyable and is better than the other games but still there are some problems.
Pros:
* Building houses and making your sim is alot of fun.
* The graphics are better
* There alot more to see and do on the game
Cons:
* You cant have children
* You can only control 2 people
* The timer does not go very fast (i find this annoying when they go to work)
All in all the game id say is good fun but if you want the game like the pc version then this game may not be you.

Easier than i thought.
By elgic-nola
I brought this game with an open mind having read the reviews i knew it wouldnt be like the sims 3 for pc. It was very fun and i enjoyed being able to create my own person properly. It was easier than i thought and i reached the top of my carer within a week of starting. But over all if you buy with an open mind it is very enjoyable.

The Sims 3
By Saira A
I bought this game as my laptop could not run the pc version. The main aim of the game is to unlock karma powers, find them, and complete your sims aspiration.
Pros-
It is very enjoyable
Unlocking karma powers can be fun
There are now lots of options when being social (eg. tell joke, hold hands, thank for cleaning)
You can explore the outside world
For once the DS version is the same as the others!
There are lots of job choices
You can choose what you do at work to get to the top level and get the most money (eg.work hard, chat to co-workers, watch tv in ready room.)
With karma powers, make other sims as lucky or unlucky as you want...
You can visit peoples houses
You can ask people to move in
You can make your sims cheat on their wives!
You can buy books or go to the library, and if they read a skill book (Cooking, charisma, logic, repairing etc)that skill will improve.
With all new oppurtunities, you can do things like stay for longer at work, read books, beat chess masters and lots more! It will boost their skills and get them some quick cash.
Traits change the way your sim thinks, the way he acts.....
Cons-
Sometimes when playing it freezes and it won't let me turn off the DSi, so I have to wait until it runs out of charge before I can play again.
You can't have children.
You can't build houses.
You can only make 3 seperate games, and on each game only make 1 person, so you have to ask the sims that are already there to move in, get married etc.
Overall, it is a great game, but if you can, get it on PC instead, my friend owns it and it is a lot better. It is still a good game, it passes the day away, it's addictive, you can do the most hilarious things, so I would buy it, unless you have a pc that can run it or an xbox or something, as it will probably be better on them as you can actually have children and more then one person. Whatever you get it on (wii, xbox, ds, ps3) get it anyway! :)
